The Central Asia Special Edition of the WHO European School on Quality of Care and Patient Safety will bring together health leaders and professionals to strengthen health-care quality, advance patient safety and translate evidence into practical action.

The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan and its Agency for Securities and Special Registration, in cooperation with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and the United Nations Resident Coordinator's Office (UNRCO) in Tajikistan, convened the Inaugural Meeting and Awareness Session on Thematic Bonds. 

The United Nations in Tajikistan, in partnership with the Government of Tajikistan, American Chamber Tajikistan and the National Union of Persons with Disabilities, convened the Forum on Inclusive Employment in Dushanbe, bringing together representatives of government, UN Country Team, private sector, civil society, development partners and youth to advance disability-inclusive labor practices.

Today's National convenor touchpoint meeting on food systems transformation brought together representatives of the National Food Systems Coordination Mechanism and the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub. The meeting provided an opportunity to review progress, identify priority areas for collaboration, and strengthen alignment between national and regional food systems transformation efforts for 2026.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) successfully held a two-day national online training workshop as part of the “Capacity Building on Policy Support Tools and Review of the National Breeding Programme” project. The national online training workshop brought together government institution representatives, technical experts, research organizations, academia and livestock sector stakeholders to strengthen national capacities in using advanced policy support tools for sustainable livestock development.

A regular meeting of the National Platform of the Republic of Tajikistan for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) was held in Dushanbe. The event was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairperson of the National Platform, Sulaimon Ziyozoda. The meeting was attended by the leadership and members of the Platform — heads of relevant ministries and agencies, as well as observers — heads and representatives of UN entities, international organizations, financial institutions, diplomatic corps, and development partners.

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) welcomed the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Board’s approval of a USD 30 million climate adaptation project that will directly benefit 73,500 people and help vulnerable communities in Tajikistan strengthen resilience to climate change and protect food security and livelihoods.
