JOB PURPOSE: To ensure efficient, high-quality design and construction of water supply and sanitation facilities, MSDSP is looking for an experienced engineer-quantity surveyor who will be responsible for the high-quality preparation of cost estimates by design institutes and companies, and in some cases independently develop cost estimates for the construction of infrastructure projects such as water supply systems, public toilets, domestic toilets, etc. in the target areas of the project. The quantity-surveyor engineer will work closely with all project specialists including a hydrogeologist, a water supply engineer, technical staff of the project, specialists of design institutes and is responsible for accurate calculation of volumes of work and high-quality preparation of cost estimates by design firms for water supply systems, public toilets, domestic toilets, etc. The quantity-surveyor engineer will play a key role in the implementation of infrastructure projects, ensuring transparency and accuracy of cost estimates, which is an important factor for the successful implementation of water supply and sanitation projects. The quantity-surveyor engineer will report to the technical expert on water supply and sanitation of the central office of MSDSP in Dushanbe. The Engineer-Quantity Surveyor will be based in Dushanbe with frequent travel to the project target areas. The assignment duration is 12 months with the possibility of extension.
