JOB PURPOSE: MSDSP plans to engage an experienced hydrogeologist to conduct hydrogeological surveys and provide technical supervision for the design and construction of deep wells for drinking water supply. To ensure efficient, high-quality hydrogeological surveys and technical supervision for the drilling and construction of deep wells for drinking water supply, MSDSP is seeking an experienced hydrogeologist who will be responsible for hydrogeological surveys, high-quality drilling, and construction of deep wells for drinking water supply in the target areas of the project. The hydrogeologist will support the Senior and Field Engineers on site throughout the construction phase, including pre-construction, design, tender, construction, and commissioning stages. She/he will ensure that all locally relevant design and construction codes and standards, as well as local and international best practices, are considered in the design and construction of deep wells. The hydrogeologist will report to the WATSAN Engineer at the MSDSP Central Office in Dushanbe. The hydrogeologist will be based in Dushanbe with frequent travel to the project target areas. The assignment duration is 12 months with the possibility of extension.
