MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH INTEGRATED CARE PROJECT
The Republic of Tajikistan has received a grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to implement the Maternal and Child Health Integrated Care Project – Additional Financing. As part of this initiative, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan (MoHSPP) is seeking 3 qualified candidates for the positions of Project Administration Group (PAG) Field Coordinator in the project districts in (i) Darvoz, (ii) Ayni, and (iii) Dangara.
Position: One PAG Field Coordinator each for Darvoz, Ayni, and Dangara District
Key Responsibilities:
The PAG Field Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Project Director, PAG Manager, and other project specialists to ensure the effective implementation of activities in the project districts. Key responsibilities include the following:
- Supporting the set-up of data collection systems and coordinating project activities within the assigned district.
- Providing logistical support to both international and local consultants, in terms of travel arrangements, organizing training and other project-related events.
- Acting as the primary liaison between PAG and the selected district, ensuring smooth coordination and communication.
- Assisting with the preparation and coordination of support for ADB missions within the district.
- Organizing and facilitating meetings, conferences, and training sessions.
- Establishing and maintaining strong cooperation with local authorities to ensure successful project execution.
- Collaborating with project specialists, including the Civil Engineer, Environmental Safeguard Officer, Gender & Social Officer, M&E Officer, Health Financing Officer, and Office Manager.
- Representing PAG in the pilot district and ensuring the implementation of project objectives.
- Performing other tasks as assigned by the PAG Manager.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, public health, or project management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination or a related role, preferably in the health sector or international development.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and activities simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including local authorities, consultants, and project teams.
- Proficiency in Tajik and Russian languages; knowledge of English is an advantage.
- Previous experience working with ADB or other international organizations is preferred.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in the selected districts (Darvoz, Ayni, Dangara).
Terms of Engagement:
- The initial contract will be for 12 person-months, including a 3-month probation period, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs. The estimated start date is March 2025, and the engagement period will be 12 months, with the potential for a further extension of up to 48 months, contingent on project requirements and performance.

The selection process will be conducted in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan and the procedures outlined by the Asian Development Bank for PAG staff.
Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. The PAG reserves the right to re-announce the vacancy or cancel the recruitment process if necessary.
