About Normeca International AS
The Branch of the company “Normeca International AS” in the RT is operating an innovative healthcare project in the Republic of Tajikistan, the “Mobile Multi-Diagnostic Clinic / Mini Hospital,” in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. This project involves state-of-the-art mobile clinics, housed in large, fully equipped trailers, designed to deliver essential healthcare services directly to communities in the regions of Tajikistan. Each mobile clinic supports a range of general diagnostic services and minor surgical procedures. In addition to advanced medical equipment, the units are designed with comprehensive facilities, including kitchens, laundry, dining areas, and conference rooms, ensuring complete functionality and comfort for medical teams and patients alike. Through this project, Normeca International AS is committed to enhancing healthcare accessibility and delivering high-quality care to underserved areas.
We are looking for a knowledgeable ophthalmologist to be responsible for treating traumatic eye injuries, diagnosing eye ailments, and prescribing medications. The ophthalmologist's responsibilities range from simple duties, such as prescribing corrective lenses, to performing highly advanced duties.
To be a successful ophthalmologist, you should be willing to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye. The Opthalmologist should be meticulous, analytical, and have very steady hands.
Main responsibilities:
- Providing routine care such as vision testing and prescribing glasses and contact lenses.
- Performing corrective surgeries, such as repairing injuries and corneas, and removing cataracts.
- Diagnosing and treating eye diseases and injuries.
- Treating medical disorders that affect the vision through a holistic approach.
- Maintaining medical documentation and monitoring patients’ post-surgery.
Requirements:
- A medical degree in ophthalmology.
- Successful completion of an internship and residency in ophthalmology.
- A state license to practice ophthalmology.
- Expert working knowledge of the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye.
- Strong physics and excellent medical knowledge.
- Responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to work with patients of all age groups
- Good administrative and managerial skills.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to frequent trips to the regions of the Republic of Tajikistan and work in non-standard conditions.
- Fluency in Russian and Tajik languages, English is encouraged.
