- Introduction
The Government of Tajikistan has appealed to the World Bank to support its efforts to address the sector's challenges and is currently preparing a rural water supply and sanitation project. The project development objectives (PDO) are to assist the Government of Tajikistan to: ( i ) strengthen the capacity of institutions in the water supply and sanitation sector and ( ii ) improve access to water supply and sanitation services in selected regions. The preliminary project area locations are: ( i ) the Vakhsh group inter-district water supply system covering six districts of South Khatlon ( Bokhtar , Vakhsh, Balkhi , Sarband , Dusti, Jayhun ) and the Vose district water supply system, located in the southern part of the Khatlon region of Tajikistan.
The project will be implemented by the SUE “KMK” and the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources (Implementing agencies) through the existing Project Management Unit for Municipal (communal) Infrastructure Development Projects.
- Objective
The objective of this assignment is to select a National electromechanical engineer who will work under the guidance and supervision of the PMU Chief Engineer and the Director.
- Duration of the Contract
The Electrical Engineer must report directly to the Project Director. The contract duration is 3 months with possible extension depending on performance indicators.
- Required qualifications
Higher education in the field of energy, water supply and civil engineering.
An electromechanical engineer with a total of 5 years of experience, of which at least 3 years of experience is related to water supply facilities.
Good knowledge of Tajik and Russian languages, knowledge of English is an advantage;
Computer literacy, knowledge of Word , Excel , Microsoft Project or similar programs.
