GENERAL INFORMATION

Services/Work Description: Recruitment of Translator

Post Title: Translator

Contract Type: Full time employment 

Duty station/Location: Tajikistan

Duration: 3 months (with possibility of extension)

Expected Start Date:  As soon as possible

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oral and written translation (technical, official documents, messages, etc.) from English to Russian/Tajik and vice versa.
• Translation of all types of letters and reports in Russian, Tajik and English languages.
• To act as an interpreter in formal and informal ministry meetings, round tables, conferences, seminars and other events where interpretation is required.

Requirements:

Professional Qualification:

• Advanced degree in Translation/Linguistics (English) is a must.
• Higher education in the field of energy, engineering is desirable.
• Previous work experience as a translator is a must.
• Previous project experience preferred.
• Fluent speaking and writing in English, Russian and Tajik languages.
• Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Express).
• Professional quality:
• Good social and communication skills.
• Organization, initiative, vigilance, ability to work independently.
• Ability to maintain a positive team atmosphere.
