The event focused on discussions about the role of youth in tackling climate change at global and national levels and featured the international agenda on promotion of glaciers preservation, spearhead by Tajikistan at global level. Participants also worked together in groups and proposed ideas on how young people can bring positive changes through community work, advocacy, science and innovations, and youth participation.

With almost 70% of the population in Tajikistan under 30 years, it is important to hear the voices of youth and position them at the center of climate-related discussions and practices, in order to build a sustainable future.

Youth engagement is crucial in addressing climate change, from grassroots activism to global advocacy. By raising awareness, participating in community initiatives, engaging in research, and leveraging social media platforms, you can inspire others and mobilize efforts toward sustainable solutions”.
