Good Neighbors International in Tajikistan (GNIT) has been working in Tajikistan since 1998. The objective of GNIT is to improve the lives of people, especially children through education, community as well as emergency relief projects. GNIT is working with the key stakeholders such as Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labor and migration, Committee of Women Affairs, Local authorities, INGOs UN and donor agencies such as, EU, GIZ, UNICEF, WFP, and others in an integrated approach to connect poor and vulnerable communities to quality education, health, water and sanitation services.
Good Neighbors International in Tajikistan now searches for an experienced Sustainable enterprise specialist who will be responsible for overseeing Women Empowerment Program in Shahritus, Rudaki, Kulob and Vahdat areas and support in improving the quality of life of target groups by increasing access to economic opportunities, creating new jobs, by developing small businesses initiatives in the communities.
Main Responsibilities:
The Sustainable enterprise specialist will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Organize Women Groups whenever they are not existing;
- Present Women Empowerment approach and program to the stakeholders and beneficiaries;
- Submit Quarterly and Annual project narrative report of income generation activities to HQ office in Korea and attend regular online meetings;
- Engage Women Groups to the program activities and follow up the revolving fund;
- Establish Good relationships with National and local government authorities, particularly with Hukumats, National and Local Women Committees;
- Provide constant monitoring of implementation as well as bank reconciliation.
Required experience and skills:
- Good in written and spoken in English and Tajik. Knowledge of Uzbek language is an asset;
- Strong computer skills – Power Point Presentation, data base, Word, Excel and others is asset;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Good Report writing and documentation skills;
- Strong understanding of Social Business concept.
- Ability to manage of funds requests, expense reports and payment processes;
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational as well as communication skills.
