Internews announce vacancy in the new phase of the Regional Project
Internews is looking for an employee for a regional project aimed at improving objective and balanced coverage of current events in Central Asia, including conflicts and crises.
This is a project for media in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, within the framework of which it is planned to implement the second phase and two vacancies are opening with the possibility of being based in Dushanbe.
The Project Manager oversees the project in his country and facilitates the effective implementation of the regional project.
Project Manager
The Project Manager will provide logistical support and implementation of project activities, tasks in the country where he/she is located, and manage communication on the project in the country, including partner organizations and beneficiaries. He/she will work closely with the Regional Project Manager and facilitate the effective implementation of the regional project.
Job responsibilities
• The Project Manager will oversee logistical support and implementation of the project in the country, responsible for the implementation of all project activities in the country and their completion according to schedule, scope of work, goals and budget; analyze the results of the project; supervise the work of technical experts; and maintain relationships with beneficiaries and partners.
• Coordinate recruitment and travel logistics for trainers, consultants and event participants in conjunction with the Project Manager. Responsibilities may include assistance with travel and accommodation arrangements, collecting and compiling recruitment materials, etc.
Required Qualifications:
• More than 5 years of successful experience working with media or development projects, preferably in the media field;
• Relevant higher education;
• Deep understanding of media issues in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, including the area of disinformation and hate speech;
• Excellent analytical and writing skills;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills;
• Experience in preparing expense and budget reports;
• Willingness to learn and implement secure means of communication;
• Proven organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail;
• Fluency in Russian, English and Tajik at a professional level.
