Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan announces a competition for selection for the position:
- Chief Public Health Specialist (Health Emergency Preparedness and Response/Sanitary Epidemiological Surveillance)
Objective - with the purpose of enhancing national capacity in health emergency preparedness and response (HEPR) the Chief Public Health Specialist (HEPR/SES) will be responsible to support coordination and implementation of Project Component 3: Health Emergency Preparedness and Response.
- University Degree in Medicine, Public Health/Epidemiology/Emergency Management, Medical and Preventive Care or other relevant areas;
- Knowledge of the methods and principles of health emergency management and response;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health, including implementation of health emergency preparedness and response functions;
- Proven experience in core HEPR technical competencies, including disease surveillance and laboratory systems / diagnostics;
- Experience in developing and conducting training programs and activities for public health and clinical staff and workforce from other allied health professions;
- Experience in working with public agencies and international health organizations;
- Skills in effective communication and coordination of work between various stakeholders;
- Strong report writing skills;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Good computer knowledge (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Internet);
- Fluency in Russian and Tajik. Knowledge of English would be an asset;
- Ability to work in stress situations and commitment to timely achieve results.
