Tajikistan Common Country Analysis 2021
The current document is an update of the 2020 Common Country Analysis (CCA). The CCAs are an ongoing analysis of the national development landscape and are usually updated annually. Specifically, the CCA on Tajikistan examines the major factors influencing the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the national development goals. It aims to identify the underlying causes of inequality and vulnerability in line with the commitment to leave no one behind, UN Charter values, and international norms and standards. As the primary source of reference for the UN System in the country, the CCA aims to guide engagement with the Government and the people of Tajikistan to implement policies and programmes to promote sustainable development. Under the leadership of the UN Resident Coordinator, the CCA updating was done by the Programme Management Team (PMT) which comprises senior programme staff of the UN Agencies.
