The Branch of Normeca International AS in Tajikistan invites Ophthalmologist to work in connection with our project in Tajikistan “Mobile Multi Diagnostic Clinic / Mini Hospital” under the management of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the population in the Republic of Tajikistan. The clinics cover most of the medical fields, and they are all in large mobile expandable trailers. The clinics are fully equipped with modern medical equipment and ancillary units such as kitchen, laundry, dining room, conference rooms, etc.
We are looking for a knowledgeable ophthalmologist to be responsible for repairing traumatic eye injuries, diagnosing eye ailments, and prescribing medications. The ophthalmologist's responsibilities range from simple duties, such as prescribing corrective lenses, to performing highly advanced duties.
To be a successful ophthalmologist, you should be willing to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye. You should be meticulous, analytical, and have very steady hands.
Main responsibilities:
- Providing routine care such as vision testing and prescribing glasses and contact lenses.
- Performing corrective surgeries, such as repairing injuries and corneas, and removing cataracts.
- Diagnosing and treating eye diseases and injuries.
- Treating medical disorders that affect the vision through a holistic approach.
Requirements:
- A medical degree in ophthalmology.
- Successful completion of an internship and residency in ophthalmology.
- A state license to practice ophthalmology.
- Expert working knowledge of the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye.
- Strong physics and math skills, and excellent medical knowledge.
- Good administrative and managerial skills.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to frequent trips to the regions of the Republic of Tajikistan and work in non-standard conditions.
- Fluency in Russian and Tajik languages, English is encouraged.
