Short description- The VMKB Girls in Energy Sector Undergraduate Scholarships are aimed at encouraging high performing girls from VMKB, Tajikistan to undertake their undergraduate degrees in areas that can enable them to join the Energy Sector workforce, including Engineering (electrical, civil, environmental, etc.), IT and related fields. These scholarships are supported by the KfW and Pamir Energy Company as part of “Construction of Sebzor HPP project”.

 The Sebzor 11 MW hydropower plant in Tajikistan endorsed by the Government of Tajikistan (GoT) who has entrusted Pamir Energy to implement the project as a project executing agency. The project’s total cost is around US $40 million and is being supported by a consortium of donors including the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) channeled through the German Development Bank (KfW), the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the World Bank (WB) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
