The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflicts and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. It directs and coordinates the international relief activities conducted by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in situations of conflict. It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.

Logistic Assistant
based in Dushanbe
The Logistics Assistant supports the delegation's logistics team by following up on and handling requests.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Provides support in accordance with logistics standards, ICRC rules, financial procedures, and regulations. This may include some or all of the following activities:
• Meetings with internal customers for collaborative demand planning (CDP)
• Order management
• Maintenance, follow-up and statistical reporting using the Field Supply System (IRIS) application
• Follow-up on inventory levels
• Warehousing
• Transport of goods and coordinating trips into the field
• In absence of Logistics Country Manager handles with import & export customs formalities
• Filing and archiving of documents.
IRIS JDE OSCAR MANAGEMENT
- Ensures that all Assistance procurement/service orders are properly registered in IRIS and all departments are aware of the requirements
- Assist Customers with IRIS use
- Ensures that bugs or problems are reported to IRIS
- Manages SR's (Supply Requests) and POs (Purchase Order), ensure correct use of database by all users
- Sends upstream Supply Request to Geneva or other ICRC branches, ensures follow up of each order and reports to the Requestor/s
- Supervises Stock Control function in IRIS
- Liaises with Service Desk in related IRIS problems, equations, and development
Desired profile and skills:
- Minimum two years' experience in a similar field.
- Detailed knowledge of the local area.
- Vocational high school diploma.
- Good command of English, Tajik and Russian.
- Computer proficiency and knowledge of specialized software.
- Driving licence.
