The winners of social media competition on healthy and equal family announced on the International Day of the Girl Child

Within the Joint EN-UN Spotlight Initiative Programme, UNFPA in Tajikistan organized the award ceremony for the winners of the social media competition titled “Happy family”. The ceremony took place on 11 October 2022, International Day of the Girl Child. The award ceremony honoured the best video submission by social media users and raised awareness on challenging harmful social norms and promoted positive and healthy family relations. The event was launched by the representatives of the Government of Tajikistan, United Nations and EU delegation. Government counterparts, representatives of civil society organizations and activists attented the event. Supported Spotlight Initiative joint EU-UN global program, the Healthy Family social media competition is an effort to promote positive masculinity and increase the awareness of population on gender issues in accessible and engaging way.
