“The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is an opportunity for us to reflect on this social ill which not only ruins lives and families but also breeds violence and criminality.

The problem is multidimensional and requires a whole of society and whole of government approach.

That requires all hands-on deck. We invite all of you to join the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking by investing in people, planet, prosperity and peace, the foundations of the SDGs.”
