The Platform discussed activities of its members on the implementation of the 2023-2025 Action Plan of the Mid-Term Program of the National DRR Strategy, as well as the development of a new plan for 2026-2027. International organizations shared information about their activities in support of the implementation of the Strategy and its action plans.

Mr. Sulaymon Ziyozoda, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chair of the National DRR Platform, noted: “It is important to enhance the capacity and accountability of city and district executive authorities in risk assessment and monitoring, as well as to expand close cooperation between government agencies, scientific institutions, and civil society for evidence-based decision-making.”

Ms. Parvathy Ramaswami, UN Resident Coordinator in Tajikistan, noted that the national monitoring and information system will enable us to take informed decisions based on real data; ensure transparency and coordination between departments; and direct resources to where they are most needed.

Ms. Denis Lüthi Crișan, Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan, highlighted that disaster risk reduction concerns all sectors and should be systematically integrated into sectoral strategy plans with appropriate financial allocations, underscoring that addressing disaster risk reduction and climate change requires commitment from all.

UNDRR presented its joint work with the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense and members of the National DRR Platform on the development and further implementation of a monitoring system for the effective implementation of the National DRR Strategy, together with the National Platform's online information portal.

The National Platform approved the Concept and recommended it for use by its members.
