Short description:
Swiss Foundation for Mine Action in Tajikistan (FSD) is a Swiss non-profit humanitarian organization that has been working since 1997 to create a safer and more sustainable future for communities affected by war and instability. Its core mission is to protect civilians from explosive remnants of war. Since its founding, FSD has operated in around 30 countries and currently employs nearly 1,000 staff across four continents. In Tajikistan, FSD has been implementing humanitarian de-mining programs/projects since 2003, releasing over 11.5 million square meters of contaminated land. FSD aims to build up more capacities of deminers to expedite the clearance operations in the country. For more information about our demining activities, please visit our website: Fondation suisse de déminage | FSD
FSD in Tajikistan intends to conduct a pre-employment two-week training on humanitarian mine action activities and invites the applicants to participate at this training. Selected trainees will be paid allowance, in accordance with FSD policies, for the duration of the training. For those who successfully complete the training and qualify to work as deminers for FSD, we will provide employment opportunities through deployment to our field locations.
This training will provide learners with the necessary Knowledge, Skills and Attitude to work as a deminer within the FSD framework. Successful candidates would be required to deploy with FSD teams to respective Mine Fields to conduct clearance.
NOTE: Not all trainees who complete the training will be given employment opportunities as this entirely depends on the availability of funding at FSD. However, all successful trainees who complete the training will be given a certificate and get listed in the FSD roster system through which future recruitment process will be carried out.
