Supervisor Medical Data Entry

Medecins sans Frontieres (MSF) is an independent medical international humanitarian association that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural or manmade disasters. MSF is working in Tajikistan in the field of Tuberculosis. Our projects focus on providing treatment and support for patients suffering from MDR Tuberculosis (TB), their families based in Zero TB Project based in Kulob.

MSF is currently looking for a qualified, capable, flexible and motivated person for the position of SUPERVISOR MEDICAL DATA ENTRY for its Zero TB Project based in Kulob. Job Location: Kulob, Tajikistan.

Main Purpose

Ensure completion of all activities related to medical data entry and data management into the mission database. Organize and perform project data entry to ensure reliable data collection in the project.

Accountabilities

Ensure collation and entry of all data identified by project managers for collection (e.g. morbidity, mortality, surveillance of diseases of epidemics, nutrition, psychological etc) into the appropriate data management system while ensuring quality of data
Know and ensure proper use of software used for recording (i.e. Fuchia, Epi Info, etc.).
Ensure accuracy of the medical data entered into the mission’s database on a regular basis, according to MSF protocols and carry out regular back-ups.
Provide technical support to all users involved in data collection and entery from MSF and NTP and give response to their training needs.
Provide regular statistical reports for the medical team as well as informing the superior of any missing information, changes or differences in data

MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities

Lead the team in the collection and compiling of data for MMR and inform PMR about any challenges in data collection or accuracy, or major changes in the data.
Support NTP staff, including but not limited to data entry statistic staff, in entering correct data in OpenMRS and ensure correct transfer of data to MSF data collection system.
Continuously assess the data collection and data entry procedures, within MSF and NTP to identify weaknesses and needs for improvement. Communicate all identified needs to PMR and contribute, in collaboration with the rest of MSF and NTP team, to creating improved procedures.
Attend relevant project meetings, such as MMR meeting and ACF meeting, in order to contribute to analysis and improvement of activities.
Independently compile weekly ACF reports and send to KCTBC.

Requirements
Education	Essential proven computer literacy and knowledge of both MSF and NTP computer and data collection systems Secondary education or qualifications either in administration, data entry or in statistics preferable. Degree in Information and Technology (IT) desirable. Higher education (health degree would be an asset)
Experience	Essential working experience of at least one year, MSF experience is an advantage
Languages	Mission and local language essential (English, Russian, Tajik)
Knowledge	Essential knowledge of use of computer including processing of documents (Word, Excel). Desirable knowledge on medical statistics data bases.

Salary: Starting gross salary is 6255 TJS (per month)
