Summary of Position and Key Responsibilities

The Earth and Environment Sciences visiting faculty position is for one semester with the possibility of extension for one more semester, and to a permanent position, based on performance. The visiting faculty reports to the chair of the Earth and Environment Science Department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Teaching Earth Science courses including sedimentary geology, stratigraphy, structural geology and geomorphology.
Organizing and delivering classroom lectures, Lab. sessions and fieldworks to undergraduate students.
Submitting reporting documents (individual plans, examination registers, grade reports) on time
Advising student on career and diploma thesis issues.

Required Qualifications and Experience

University Degree (M.Sc.or Ph.D.) in Geology/Earth Sciences or related field.
Teaching experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Communication Skills: Instructor must be a good communicator as he/she will be on many occasions communicating with other teaching and administration staff.
Skills of teaching online, if required (using Microsoft Teams or Zoom).
