Summary of Position and Key Responsibilities
The Earth and Environment Sciences visiting faculty position is for one semester with the possibility of extension for one more semester, and to a permanent position, based on performance. The visiting faculty reports to the chair of the Earth and Environment Science Department.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Teaching Earth Science courses including sedimentary geology, stratigraphy, structural geology and geomorphology.
- Organizing and delivering classroom lectures, Lab. sessions and fieldworks to undergraduate students.
- Submitting reporting documents (individual plans, examination registers, grade reports) on time
- Advising student on career and diploma thesis issues.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- University Degree (M.Sc.or Ph.D.) in Geology/Earth Sciences or related field.
- Teaching experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Communication Skills: Instructor must be a good communicator as he/she will be on many occasions communicating with other teaching and administration staff.
- Skills of teaching online, if required (using Microsoft Teams or Zoom).
