10 April 2026
Third cohort of girls-activists, selected to spend a day with leaders in diplomacy as “Ambassador for a Day," received their participation certificates in a ceremony to celebrate young women aspiring to be future diplomats, to experience first-hand insight into diplomacy, leadership, and international cooperation.
This year, the Embassies of France, Germany, the Republic of Korea, Türkiye, the United Kingdom and the Delegation of the European Union to Tajikistan, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan, and the United Nations in Tajikistan invited nine finalists through an open video contest under this initiative.
This year’s initiative was dedicated to Women in Technology and the development AI in Tajikistan and focused on women’s leadership and their role in technology, recognizing the critical role young women play in shaping a more sustainable and inclusive future.
The finalists recorded short videos, responding to the call to participate in this initiative during the International Women’s Day campaign (08 March 2026), where they shared their ideas, with passion and conviction, and articulated their own contributions to shape the developments in AI and digitalization in Tajikistan.
Throughout the day, the finalist took part in interactive discussions, shadowed diplomatic leaders, and explored ways in which international cooperation addresses today’s most pressing issues. Each participant received a certificate of participation.
By opening our doors to the young generation of change makers, we reaffirm our shared commitment to empowering young women in Tajikistan, promoting gender equality, and nurturing youth leadership to tackle global challenges.
