Short description:
Representative from civil society and civil society groups, including Public Organizations (POs), academic and scientific institutions, Public Associations, women groups, and others. Women-led POs and regional POs are encouraged to apply.
Demonstrated country-level experience working with civil society organizations, including Public Organizations, academic and scientific institutions, women's groups, and others. A university degree and a minimum of 3 years' professional experience working in a subject related to natural resources management, environmental economics, business management, public management, development studies, or a related field in the GEF focal areas, including biodiversity, climate change, international waters, sustainable land management and persistent organic pollutants; community development programmes.
Expertise to serve as focal point and provide expertise on one or more SGP programming aspects related to Gender, Youth, vulnerable social groups of society, Persons with Disabilities, Innovation and Business-oriented approaches.
Knowledge in one or more of the following fields: grant making /management, financial management, governance, research, policy, and entrepreneurship development.
Working knowledge of Tajik is mandatory and working knowledge of Russian or English are assets. To be dedicated to assisting local population in addressing environmental problems.
To be diligent and punctual.
Exert honesty, responsiveness, ability to work in a team and be able to achieve consensus on disputable issues.
Have basic experience with computer programmes, such as MS Word, Excel, Web browsers and e-mail agents.
